Having a hell of a time with the Clutch!

I can not seem to adjust my new Bandit Clutch at all. I followed the how-to and still can not get the clutch to respond. When I pull the clutch lever it does not feel like it is doing anthing. I know this is a bit vague but I am at a loss. I have tried adjusting the rod countless times at different spots and still nothing. It just seems like the lever is doing nothing.

I took the ball/ramp apart and looked at it and everything seems to be in place. It only goes together one way correct? I did adjust the cable as well, collapsed it according to the instructions/how-to.

How many clutch discs were in the clutch you replaced? If there were 9, then that was the infamous easy pull clutch and that particular ball and ramp makes it very difficult difficult to adjust the clutch. Per Bandit, you need at least .070" movement at the pressure plate to operate correctly. About the only way to achieve this with that ball and ramp, is to run the clutch rod in until contact, then back it out only about 1/8 turn. Then lock it down. Backing the rod out any more than that, the ball and ramp won't allow you to get the .070" movement of the pressure plate. Hope this helps.

I wish I had more money.
I think you can put the ball and ramp in wrong too. I think that you can put in two positions. One will slow you to pull the lever normally. The other will make the pull extremely hard.

My old clutch had 12 discs. So I can only assume its the stock ball/ramp. I will take a look at it again and see if there is a different way for it to go in. Its all apart anyways. Very frustrating to say the least.

All right guys I got it working. It was after all the ball/ramp (Thank you Mr. Schulz). It was somehow rolled to much in one direction and I did not really catch it because it was like that when I took it apart the first go around and assumed it was right. Anyways got the everything adjusted and working. I can actually find neutral again with the bike running and at a stop! Thanks for the help, appreciate it.
