Have had an electrical problem since last year.

Last year while I had the 08 K9 out after I shut it off it wouldn't start, completely dead not power to anything. After I pushed it in gear everything was back. Came home and put it away for the winter. Today I got her out, cleaned all connections and it started just fine. Shut it off tried to start and nothing. I have a Slam button but it wasn't installed. Put that on now, it starts and all power is back. Shut it off and sometimes it starts other times it's dead. I have a DOC's system and he doesn't recommend a slam button, but it is saving me as of now. Starter is pretty new, battery is good. Where should look for the problem?

Thanks HMAN I believe you sent that to me last year when this started. I went through that procedure and everything checked out. Cleaned everything and it worked once and the problem was back. Thought I had it after that checked out but no.

test for consistent results by jumping the wires - start the bike, shut it off, start again -- do this a bunch of times. If it starts consistently and reliably with jumpers I'd replace the boards and check the buttons as well/. A small crack in the board can be hard to see at times.

Finally replaced the PCB boards and it seemed to have fixed the issue. After testing many times, I thought it has to be the issue, hopefully it is fixed. Thanks for all the help.
