Alrighty boys and girls, moving and off course taking the big puppy with me.....

Debating trans for the k9....

I have 2 inch thick maple lumber about 10 to 12 inches wide and 10 feet long.

2001 6ft 6 inch pickup bed, 8 and a half worth the tailgate down. Thinking of using the boards ( as many as i need 1 or 2) as my base, backing the bike onto the truck and then supporting the frame under the front engine area to reduce front wheel weight loads to very little.

Wheel chock and 4 point tiedowns (same for either option)

Or enclosed uhaul trailer worth the sane 4 point ties chocks and using a 3/4 plywood bottom braced for no shifting.

Please send photos of how you guys move your dog around

I have watched many that have loaded into trucks and trailers only to dump the bike either inside or half way in, that's why i think i should use plywood for traction

I used a uhaul a couple of times. The 10 ft one has a wood floor. You can put your eye hooks into the wood. You will have to be sure that the angle isn't steep. Otherwise you will scrape the bottom of the bike. I use to have pictures on here when I did it. But they got lost during the upgrade of the site. If the angle is to steep and your going up to slow your tire will start spinning if the wood your using is smooth. You will need to ride it up kind of fast to avoid it.

I have used a 2 by 4 on under ramp when I think the frame will rub at the hinge part of the trailer. One time used 2 by 12 and 2 by 4 to have a stair step setup. U-Hall has bike trailers too, longer front tire area.
