Life is short, make a little time for yourself and friends. When weddings are few and far between that you go to, and each time you turn around your at another wake or funeral, these moments become huge when you look back onto them.

Always said the older I get the more dead people I know. Need to enjoy ourselves while we can.

Some day I'd like to get one. I was actually looking at an ultralight toy hauler the other day. They are making them down to 15' now but the inside is just too bare bones. The 20-22 ft one looked nicer it had a slide out. I don't need much the more basic the better for me.

Some day I'd like to have one.

We were planning on staying at the horse park but waited to late to book and ended up down below Richmond, ky. at the fort boonesborough rv campground. We want to go by the park on one of the days just haven't picked a day yet. I know Saturday is out. I'll keep you posted on our plans.

Later on, I believe in the mid 2000 Monaco acquired Holiday Rambler. I believe the both have Monaco's brand of chassis. The chassis manufacture is Roadmaster, a division of Monaco. In recommending coaches, i'll always say Monaco or Country Coach. The framing and quality is quite unique on them and the Roadmaster chassis has it's 8 air bags placed furthest out on centers, making the coach pretty stable over the road. The frame structure is capable of hauling over 10k for weight whereas the majority are only rated 5k. The wood inside is all hardwood and is oak. I paid 61 grand for it just shy of 10 years ago. The same coach sells now for about 24-28 grand. It's a 330 Cummins 8.3 liter. I get anywhere between 11.7 and 13.1 mpg.

It's very tough for me to part with a coach that gets this type of fuel economy. it averages the same as my 1997 f350 7.3 power stroke, yet it's about 32000 pounds heavier. At the time I bought it for two purposes. To tow the race car trailer and the other to go camping. Went from a tent to a coach. No sense stopping at anything in between. It's very tough to turn down a slightly used motor coach vs. a new duelly, when they are the same price, and the new diesel trucks at the time where nothing but problems.

I am not in rv sales, but I know my fair share about them.

I had a few motorhomes and 5th wheels over the years. The last was a 40' Sunnybrook toy hauler pulled with a Ford dully. Only got around 9 mpg and on the last trip it cost me $1,100 to go 1200 miles round trip between camping spots, food, diesel and 2 blown tires. I figured it out and if I bought a lawn trailer and hooked it up to the car we could have stayed in nice hotel rooms, ate out and saved around $600 so I sold it all. I thought boats were bad but between the 5th wheel and truck it was always something.

Back in the day, when I was much younger, I was happy to just throw a sleeping bag on the ground at call it camping. I've even put the sleeping bag inside a body bag when it rained and was fine. NOW that I'm older and wiser I like the idea of the "motel camping" experience

My oldest brother has been RV'ing for yrs. he now has a foretravel and loves it, my other older brother has an Airstream Bambi and he & his wife go everywhere!

Worst Millage trip was in 2003! Had my Dodge pulling a 30' 5th wheel with my 10' low profile Haulmark enclosed trailer behind that. Looked like a damn train all the way to Sturgis! Took 2 football fields to turn the damn thing around!
