Has your BDM been reliable?

My 07 bulldog was very reliable but I sold her and bought a new 2010 bulldog. Around 2k Miles's and no issues (knock on wood) love the smooth ride and starting to do some mods on her now.

My bulldog sounded alot like yours, 17 times quitting on the road, three times on a AAA flatbed and that was owning it since aug of last year.
The third time on the flatbed i was pissed, to the shop it went, full rewire w/PDM and that was about six weeks ago, since then iv been doing 200 miles a week and not ONE dam problem.
Well there is one slight nich, it seems when im cranking around 90+ and hit the throttle,it sounds like its starving for fuel, but if i ease on twisting it, i did 120+ a week ago just to see if it would do it, then i promply found a piss stop........

I don't get to put the mileage on I would like but all the work I have done has been by choice.
The only needed item was a real battery and fluid changes.

All in all mine has been pretty reliable, not to say that it has never had issues. Although I don't get to put the miles on it that some of you guys put on your bikes, it has been reliable.

not enough time 4 riding
Fried EHC and a broken clutch cable were the major issues. A starter and a speedometer replaced under warranty, with the starter replaced again since it was starting to show signs of the oil leak issues and the speedometer replaced again to upgrade to the Dakota Digital. The gas tank liner peeling was more of a nuisance. Funny thing is that the new cam and the XXX carb were done after the EHC and starter changes, so maybe I should have done the engine upgrades earlier.

Show me anything mechanical that does not fail from time to time. I think I have been a bit more fortunate with my 2004, must have been a good year, as I have had few mechanical issues, knock on wood! Service it regular, look it over and then look it all over again for any signs of potential problems. EHC was replaced under warranty, EHC was replaced this month with Wire Plus. Other than that little problems that were reasonably cheap to fix.
