Has your BDM been reliable?

My 03 chopper has 27K on it starting this month. Now going into the 4th season of owning it, I've changed tires twice, change my fluids like your suppose to, two batteries and 1 headlight blub.......... Nothing you wouldn't have to do for any bike. Bike fires right up each morning, and I ride any day the weather allows in NH.

I do take time every Saturday morning and go over the bike, looking for loose nuts, frayed cables/wires, hose lines.... Things like that. Its a hot rod, not a rice rocket, but I find it very reliable......

My K9 has 50,000 miles and has only left me stranded 1 time about 15 miles from home. Replaced a starter, clutch cable, head gaskets, and transmission seal. I am a happy dog owner!

I purchased my Big Dog Mutt brand new in 2008. It has performed flawlessly to this day. I have had to do nothing but Clean it, proper scheduled maintenance, new tires and lots of love to this day. :whoop:

When I win the lottery, I'm going to buy one of every model of Big Dog.... I love their looks, feel and the attention they draw. I love Big Dog Motorcycles.

Hey...Get smart - Of course the forum is going to draw members with problems with their bikes, so you'll obviously see those kind of post here. It's the same with the other bike forums.

I have owned several motorcycles and without a doubt most unreliable bike i have ever been around. I love it when it runs good though.

My Triumph was unreliable until I fixed it.:D

Now with over 30,000 miles, it is solid as a rock and runs like a raped ape!

No complaints, after I changed over to the wire plus and replaced the ignition module she's been doing fine. But she needs a new rear tire which just came in yesterday imagine that. :D

My 03 Pit Bull is one of the most reliable motorcycles I have ever owned. Broke a throttle cable (in front of the driveway, perfect), also burned out a headlight plug. Will need a rear tire soon and also a battery. But, that is with any bike. Mine still has the EHC, and no electrical problems. It rained so damn hard on the way home the night I purchased it (going on three years), the previous owner called to see if I made it home in one piece. So, rain/water doesn't seem to be an issue with mine. Like others have said, I do all the required PM, and I am a very proud owner of a BDM.
