Has anyone tried a flexible LED light strip--Universal Motorcycle LED Turn Signals Tail Brake Stop Running Lights

Good morning, Ladies and Gents! I'm upgrading my K9's headlight to the daymaker after my EHC was upgraded. But has anyone upgraded or switched out their tail lights to a flexible LED light strip like these? If so, does it work well? I'm getting tired of chasing down and/or replacing the tail light lens covers. LOL

I don't have anything to add about the flexible LED but I do keep my lens caps from popping off by putting a piece of clear tape on the bottom of the lens covers so you don't see it. Seems to work fine I haven't lost a cover since. :)

I am happy with the day maker. My mechanic warned me against adding any extra lighting due to the electrical system being very touchy. They look good but I guess “what ain’t broke don’t fix”.

Led's are going to draw less power, look better , last longer and are much brighter. I don't see how it would hurt any electrical system.

I think the downside to a light strip is the mounting part of it. Tape will eventually come loose.

Good point--I'll start doing that as well.

The biggest issue I forsee is you have a brake/turn/running light system on the BDM that does not produce a seperate BRAKE light signal
The system uses the same "filament" as turn as brake but activated both sides.
The system you are looking at I believe has run/turn on each end brake/run in center -- there is no 1 wire for center brake signal, you'd have to "create it" and that's likely more trouble than its worth.

What you need is
with 2 of these (one for each side) https://www.radiantz.com/Dual-element-circuit-p/19.htm
1/2 the LEDs go to left/others to right.

Gets more complicated if you just want a brake light (at least with stock ech)

I was mulling over what to do with mine... I think I may now be sold, Jwooky... That looks AMAZING! My original ECH cooked about a month ago, so I got the BDM ECH RIP Kit now. She's solid now and fires up as soon as you hit the start button. Forgot that point when I was showing my neighbor, and I had a drink in my hand, and she was on a hill and in gear. My scoot jumped forward, I had to catch it, but my drink went flying. :D
