Has anyone lengthened their K-9 forks

and went an extra 2 or 3 inches longer, nothing drastic.

I'd love a little more length ( i know I won't get much with this) and was wondering if it doable,

I found a site that makes parts to extend 41mm forks by 2 or 3 inches without major work!

Interested in peoples thoughts on the idea -- Woiuld end up with more of an old school look where the bottom of the frame lifts up a little bit in the front from what I can see.

It's pretty cheap to do $120 of parts.

Ok -- let me have, I'm ready.

On the Chopper, the RT frame sits lower than the DT frame. I found myself dragging the frame in most corners. I shorten the rear shocks 1/8", and extended the forks from 10 over to 12 over. It was amazing what it did for my ride.

Hello. From what you are saying, sounds like are considering using "Slugs". Not really recommended. A better plan would be using ONE PIECE extended fork tubes. Much stronger and safer...

and they look pretty solid to me, not sure if this is what you meant by slugs.

The reason I am looking at these rather than fork tubes is this looks like a project I could do myself without a lot of effort -- fork tubes I'd need help with.

Jersey Big Mike. What you pictured are what we called "Slugs". Back in the late 60s early 70s. They were a cheaper method of extending your front end. Some/most considered them somewhat safe, if the joint was made in between the top and lower triple tree. Back then, for another hundred bucks you could order one piece front fork tubes, from guys like "Forks by Frank" super strong, great looking. Not much harder to change out. Hope this helps.

My ex had those on her fury. They were solid, but I. Removed them because it was too long for her.
