I'll push my Dog before I'll let the Harley dealerships in my area wrench on it...
Got a buddy that went in with cash to buy a ultra. Asked if he test ride it. He was told he could test ride it all he wanted after he bought it.
When I started this thread this was the kind of examples I was refering to. The one in my area in Jackson, Mississippi is horrible. You go in there to buy a new HD and they treat you pretty bad. If you ask about something for a BDM they all but ask you to leave.

I'm not bad mouthing the HD brand, I'm not even bad mouthing the dealerships as a whole, but I am saying that it is not uncommon to be treated poorly in a way that I have never seen in a place of business.

Now the dealship in Monroe, Louisiana has been nice to me. I have never taken my BDM there, but I have gone there several times with a friend because like most people I know, he refuses to use the dealership in jackson.

The dealership in Jackson is very "clickish". They are rude regardless of what you ride if you aren't in their circle, or at least know someone who is. I personally can't see how they stay in business, as most people I know and our alienated by them, do not go there.

I personally think that although a lot of dealerships are happy sales are are as strong as they are, they are somewhat apprehensive about selling an HD to people that don't fit their idea of what an HD owner should be.

No offense, just my dos centavos.

People that ride harleys are from all walks of life, How in hte hell can you define what a HD owner should be? Same goes with Big Dogs. I think the sterotype went out with Marlon Brando.
