Hard Clutch 06 K9

Purchased 06 K9 about a month ago. Clutch lever is extreamly hard to pull in. Guy I bought it from said it's been like that since he bought it.(imagine that) Clutch engages fine, just hard to pull. Any ideas before I start digging. I'm wondering if it might be as simple as lubing the cable.

These clutches are quite a bit stiffer than most Harleys. It seems like you could feel the drag if it was a cable. There is a great how to on here for servicing your bike. do a search and you will be amazed at the amount of time that some of the members have put into these how to threads.

Not sure why your clutch is so stiff with so little info but this is a good Thread too: http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/how/2025-how-adjust-your-clutch-05-newer.html

Keep us posted on your findings

My 2006 K9 clutch lever was pretty hard, but while in warranty I had some problems and they installed a easy pull clutch and it was better. I now have a EFM clutch assem. and it takes no effort at all.

SORRY THAT NOT MY CLUTCH ASSEM.

THAT THE EFM ASSEM.

I just picked one up from a generous forum member and can't wait to get it installed.
