Another happy KMW R.I.P. EHC replacement kit customer.

R.I.P. Review

If your having trouble with your EHC and your sure its time to jump ship, but we at WSW say BE SURE, there is NO BETTER way to go than this kit.

Price is $650, dealer controlled.
Every kit is custom made to your bikes specific model and year of Big Dog.
Unfortunately, I do not have illustrations yet.
American Iron is doing an install in a newer Mastiff soon and will have a complete write up of it.
The individual that left this review made it clear to us that he was not mechanically inclined and did not want something that was going to be hard to install so that tells you a lot about the kits simplicity.

I agree I put on my 05 Mastiff myself and I must say I dont think they could have made it any easier. Its gotta be the best kit out there truly plug and play, and all plugs are labled so their is no guessing where it goes.

Here's my finished product and I also installed the thunderheart Programmable ignition. Now all I have to do now is get another cable to install the software to change the 1 to a 0 for the RPM to act right. Hats off to KMW's

Had to place some type of covering over the exposed wiring. Exposed wiring under the tank was the cause of my original problem. The tank rubbed all of the insulation off some of the wiring. I really need to put some gaskets on my rocker boxes, leaking. But shit I got to ride this thing I've been down a long time. I'll put the tank on soon.

I really hope this kit is the answer however the test of time and miles will tell.
There's no question there.
The good news is this style kit has already been in place for 2 years now in numerous European customs, that KMW has built and sold, with 0 failures.
That's one of the reasons WSW chose to ally itself with KMW as a dealer.

Curtis, that's good to know. No matter how many EHC's are in the parts cabinet, I'm always thinking will I need the trailer today?

FYI, I always carry a 10mm wrench to disconnect the battery after having a EHC catch fire.

There's no question there.

If you're stock harness is hacked, we have mountains of them in stock. I agree with all the positive comments on the R.I.P. kits. We've sold several, 0 complaints.

I'm a satisfied customer with the RIP. I had a few modifications to make but when I turned the switch everything lit up. I'm trying to send a photo also.
It looks like a lot of wire ends, don't look plug n play from this pic:confused:

I don't know what he has going on in this picture. The RIP kit I bought looks nothing like this. Before purchasing mine I talked to the guys at KMW and they mentioned that if you have changed out your ehc for an aftermarket unit, the RIP would bre different.

Mine dosent look like that either, mine was truely plug and play. I think his that pic is because he had the wire plus kit before the RIP kit I have pics of mine just cant get them to load I would email them to some one if they want to post them for me.

In response to, "Mine don't look like that either". I could not for the life of me get the harness thru the backbone. I was afraid I would pull some shit apart. So I cut the connector ends on a few wires, pulled the harness thru, soldered and heat shrinked and it's a done deal. I did not have the wire plus. The process was plug and play until I couldn't get the harness thru. Just installed the Thunderheart Prog. Ign.. Once you get the link, click basic setting, change 0 to 1. You're good to go. Thanks everyone for the service and the help. Could not have done it without the great guys on this forum. Curtis & KMW
