Handlebar wiring cable manufacturer or supplier

I am swapping out the handlebars on my '09 K9 to the much longer bars from a Ridgeback and the wiring cables that run through the handlebars to the hand controls are now too short due to the longer handlebars.

Can anyone tell me who is the manufacturer of these wires so that I can order the proper length of the pre-made cables?

Or where I can order these ends so that I can make up a splice?

I need the the right side(6-pin) harness to be at least 41" long. The left one(5-pin) was already long enough @ 43".

Thanks,
Bowhunter

I did just the opposite.....I had to change out my front brake line and clutch cable
as well..
The wires you can splice with some butt connectors ans heat wrap..

Don't forget about your brake line hose. I put K-9 bars on my Chopper years ago and had to get a longer brake line. The throttle cables should be alright though.

Thanks Al and Ray, I have already sent the clutch cable to Barnett to be modified for only $25, I have the front wheel off the ground and the brake cable is marginal in length, as soon as I get it on the road again, I will have another brake cable made at a shop here locally. But the electronics stores around here are no help on the cables or the ends, check e-bay and the ones I have found are too short, called Bigdogpartsking and Donna is looking for me. I would rather have a continuous cable than to have a splice to worry about since it would actually be 2 splices to add a 4" length of wire.

I saw a bunch on BikerGarage101.com a while back not sure if they are still available but worth a look. Just going to have to look for the Ridgeback handlebar harness. Any 04-08 should work I would assume  He has good prices and fast shipping.

Eric, the ones BikerGarage101 had were too short. Bill, I will post a more complete step by step of the swap I am going to do for Postman. I will post a pic of my completed job as soon as I get the cable taken care of. I am doing the dirty work on this project so that I can do Postman's quickly by having everything we need on hand. I as still hoping that someone knows where I can buy these cables.
Sterling has just finished making me a new 2-up seat with a lot of custom shaping, I will be posting soon!

Bowhunter, if you can't find any, I believe I have a set from a chopper that I'll give you (I put ridgeback bars on a chopper and had to get a longer harness). It would at least save you 1 splice per wire.

If you end up wanting it, I could meet you half way (Rockwood / Harriman or there about).

Relic, I may take you up on that offer, if I can't find a harness long enough, I will come to you if Rockwood is half-way. Thanks for the offer, I will hunt till the weekend and then if the offer still stands, I will give you a shout.

I posted the manufacturer of the cables some time ago because a dealer I sold to was ordering them.

I looked but I think I deleted the thread back some time ago.

I want to publicly thank Relic for the generous gift of a set of handlebar cables yesterday. Not only did he insist on no payment, he rode a hour to bring them to me. I got to meet his lovely wife and check out his gorgous K9.

Hopefully we will get to ride in the near future, thanks Relic!

I wish I had more money.
Good job Relic. And yes his K9 is sweet. I've not seen one painted quite like that till now.
