Handlebar Mounted CHT

I know of an engine CHT (cylinder head temp) gauge "polished billet" that can be clamped to the handlebar to monitor the rear cylinder head temperature for less than $300.00. LCD display, It's 1.75" O.D, single wire to the probe that gets captured between the cylinder head fins. Is there any interest in such a gauge? I plan on installing one for those hot days at long stop lights and this one is up on your bars not on your rockerbox cover. I would appreciate some feedback on a possible new product.

I would like one, I have an oil pressure guage and want to monitor engine temp as well.

here is a shot (or 3) of the oil temp gauge i installed. The mount in the photos is just a mock-up. the one on it now is made out of stainless and polished. It is a Arlen ness housing with Auto-Meter gauge. Taped the sender into a polished adaptor @ the oil psi gauge..

Nice install! I bet the new bracket looks great as well. The oil temp is a good thing to keep an eye on as well. The BDM's with the gauges in the center of the bars however would not work with that particular mount method. The gauge I'm speak of would mount on the bars up near the hand controls. This CHT gauge shows immediate changes in head temp. The probe fits the rear cylinder head rear left side away from the exhaust.

Yea. this Gauge is basically showing the oil temp and maybe some Block temp since the temp is being taken from the oil psi gauge area. But it definitely works.. stop and go traffic gets up there but drops as soon and you start movin down the road..

like it - gauges definitely add that sporty / racer type of look and obviously the info they give could prove invaluable
