You would think they would do ALPO to put their best foot forward in light of the history. It takes a $50 camerea & 30 minutes to tae 50 pictues. Makes you wonder if this is long term or just blowing out left over misc inventory? Just saying.
Bingo :2thumbs:

Not to make excuses but it takes alot of work to start up an e-commerce website and they probably felt putting up something now...a work-in-progress...was better than nothing up at all.
Sorry Babe missed your post I stated the same...great minds think alike :D

Insert title here...
Biker garage 101 has no issues putting their pictures of parts up as they get them in,same with these guys on Ebay.....and to be quite honest... it has been awhile, makes me think its a 1 guy operation....personally my opinion of the reputation of this 'NEW' company isnt a very good one...Do it right or dont do it at all.....

I know they aren't any cheaper on their prices!
:iagree:with you all 110%! It's not like they're writing the code or anything!

And it's no surprise that haven't sold anything on ebay either. I sent them an email asking a question about one of their sales and they were apparently too busy to give me the courtesy of a reply!

I disagree with putting up a half assed website like they've done so far. Potential customers would have waited with anticipation for a site that works as opposed to getting pissed off at a site that works poorly.

You may be on to something here...

Ok, here's my experience with BDM performance parts, I couldn't fiqure out how to order side covers off the wbesite, Adrian from BDM emailed the part no's and i called and ordered over the phone, received the side covers in 5 days.

I bought V&H pipes off of Ebay from BDM(for less than half of retail price) received the pipes today, so I am a happy customer!!!!!

WOW for all the talk and hype from people here about how much they love there dog there sure seems to be a lot of people that don't know when to be thankful. Personally I am thankful that in time BDM Performance products will become a viable source for parts for my beloved dog. I called there today and got excellent customer service and will shop there again. I for one am willing to be patient while they build there inventory and website. I could just park it and complain to all my friends how big dog closed up or I can support this new venture and hopefully have parts available for a long time to come. Truth is if we don't support them as customers then a year from now we will all be back where we were with bikes we cant get support and parts for. Seems to me they are trying to the right thing by supporting their bikes maybe we should all do the same. I figure Ill take a pretty good lashing over this post but Im a big boy so bring it on.:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

You can get parts period. Why you think bdpp is the only place to get S&S parts is confusing to me. I mean i guess if you need a 700.00 sissy bar:loony: (ridiculous) i understand.

I am happy that they are up and running, but I have to agree, the website does not help me at all. I know they are working on it, though, and Adrian says they are loading behind the scenes which is what is making it so slow. I know part of my whining is because the BDM dealer website was so badass with exploded views with part numbers of every model!! *waaahhh*

On that note, I will help find parts & numbers for ya, just pm me and I'll do what I can to help out as quick as possible. (I'm in the middle of estimating a big wreck job and it is a lot of work, trust me-especially because it's an AIH!)

I've been in the .com business since 1995 and have built numerious e-commerce sites for myself and customers. Consitering the number of products they have to list, program, photograph ect, its going to take quite a while for the site to function the way they (and we) want it to.

I'm guessing they pre-launched the site to give us big dog owners some confidence that we will have a source for parts for our scoots.

:iagree: That's what I was saying. I have also done e-commerce sites but nothing to that scale.

obviously your not one of the many who just purchased a BD and now have no warranty or recall, but you can purchase those warranty and recall parts at retail prices from the previous owner. :job:

I am really getting tired of hearing people bitching here about BDM and Sheldon Coleman, He put is own money and started an American motorcycle company with American employes and I am grateful I am fortunate enough to own one. As i understand he was forced into receivership by the banks. This economy is the worst since the depression, I am suprised BDM lasted as long as they did, the economy killed BDM not Sheldon Coleman

Instead of complaining how much a sissy bar or controls cost, why don't you put up your own money and start producing parts at a better price instead of just bitchn here!!!
