Your heads may be set up to except comp. releases. Big Dog started running elect. comp. releases in late 03. Look down the top center of the front rockerbox. If you don't see a rubber condom looking boot looking at you then look deeper. If there is a bolt head in there, you can get comp. releases installed. That would avoid big headaches.
