I like your bell also T Mack but it's too bad you couldn't find a way to mount it even further upfront to get that rouge gremlin that got your fork seal! See folks, THAT is what happens when it's not low enough to the ground.

Jeff, I'm about to head out of town this afternoon for a week vacation but if you can wait and will PM me your address I'd be glad to send you a bell when I get back. Maybe the tribal one or a skull would go best? There is also an American flag one that seems pretty fitting for our BDMs.

Wife bought me a Guardian Bell during our visit to Deals Gap last weekend.........Yeah :whoop:.......been riding for 35yr without, so watch it become an un-Guardian Bell :) After careful consideration it found a spot to dangle, inside the rear brake peddle, hydraulic reservoir.

I'm going to go jump something now :)

You got to hang them close to the ground :D . Mine has been in the same spot for 2 years.

Jeff, I'm back from vacation and still don't see any PM from you bud. Shoot me your address in PM and I'll get a bell sent your way! Maybe this skull one to match your paint?

And many thanks again to Borger for hooking me up when my very own wife couldn't even step up for me.

THE STORY OF GREMLIN BELLS

ill start by saying this is not my ebay listing item#220520659936 this is the story i herad from my grandpa he rode one of the cool old harleys in the army he told me he took a bulet in the tank put his finger over the hole and rode out of danger but was never hurt i got my gremlin bell from a dear frined and put one on every bike i work on i also bought a icon regulator vest and found a saint christopher madalun sown in the inside pocket
The Mythical Story Of The Bell.
Have you ever wished you could get rid of those nasty road "surprises" that turn your ride in the wind to a trip where everything goes wrong?
As we all know, life has many mysteries that have no apparent solutions. One of these is Evil Road Spirits. They are the little gremlins that live on your bike. They love to ride. They are also responsible for most of your bike's problems. Sometimes your turn signals refuse to work, or the battery goes dead, the clutch needs adjustment, or any of several hundred things go wrong. These problems are caused by Evil Road Spirits.
Road Spirits can't live in the presence of a bell. They get trapped in the hollow of the bell. Among other things their hearing is supersensitive. The constant ringing of the bell and the confined space drives them insane. They lose their grip and eventually fall to the roadway. (Have you ever wondered how potholes are formed?) The bell has served its purpose.
If you have picked up a bell of your own, the magic will work. But if your bell was given to you, the power has been doubled, and you know that somewhere you have a special friend helping to look after you.
So, if you have a friend that doesn't have a bell, why not be the person to give them one? It's a nice feeling for the recipient to know you personally cared. The bell, plus a good preventative maintenance program by the bike's owner, will eliminate the Evil Road Spirits.

The one I had on my old bike fell off and I picked up another myself for the K-9 so I guess the protective power may be compromised, that could explain all the friggin repairs last month.....huh??? I basically added it, as a woman would earrings or a belt, to accessorize the K9... pretty gay I supppose, but it looks cool. I HATE THE HANGING BALLS.

Had one on the Shadow so low to the ground that it would drag when I took tight corners, it eventually ended up getting torn off. Don't have one for the Dog yet

Riding since 64 never saw a bell until 90. I don't use them and take them off used bikes I buy. I also never had one come loose and damage anything. Ding Ding...
