I was given one and had it on my tool bag for a long time (some know Chuck from LeatherwWorks)... might put it back on the K9?

Never got 1 for my Road King... had it sideways once but regained control even without the bell :lol:

I'm not big on superstitions, except for the BigDog belt buckle that I NEVER wear when I play poker... anymore... :zwhistle:

Cutty....I should have giving you one when you rode up here a few weeks ago....maybe that would have helped ya when we got back from the bar.......:lol: but I won't say it out loud.... you know what I am talking about...

I've been reading all the different responses about the bells and have seen them on several bikes that I've worked on. I've always heard that you should never buy one for yourself, someone is suppose to give you the bell as a gift.
I usually not a very superstious person, but I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea to shame one of my buddies into giving me a bell in the very near future. I was also thinking it might be more of a regional ritual, maybe some can comment on that. What I mean is like where I'm from it's bad luck to give someone a knife without enclosing a coin in the box (that sort of thing). Anyway I don't think you should have to twist you friends, wife, girlfriend, etc. to get them to buy you a bell, but like allot of people have commented they don't know or understand this ritual.....

On another forum I am on they had a bell swap thing going. Near idea, but I felt it was just like buying your own.

I bought some and gave them out, but never put one I bought on my bike.

I have one. It came with the bike when I bought it. The guy I bought it from said to never take it off. Thought it was a strange request at the time,but never have and now never will.
