Group ride Daytona March the 6th

Ok look, I might be put on the black list for what I am about to say, but it has to be said! The ride this year was a Joke!!! We all come from all parts of the country to meet up and go on a group ride with people we get to know on here, but there was no group ride!!! Why is that? Well let me tell you how it went down. We were all talking no one said when we were going to go or even where. We look up and people were walking to there bike we thought they might be getting some gas or some thing, but no they just left! There was no line up getting ready or anything, but the part that pissed us off the most was when we chased them down a few miles down the road and everyone was pulled over not waiting on the group but waiting on someone to pick up there hat. What kind of crap is that! If people are going to do there own thing and they don't want everyone to be included in it then they need to meet up some where else. This site is for people to get to know other people that own or just appreciate Big Dog's. Thru this site I have made some very good friends the kind of people that help you out any way they can and meet some people that I would not even pee on if they were on fire. Now I have said what had to be said!

I and approx. 6 other "Members" were with Black Ball when this went down and it was pretty shitty!This site promotes getting people together for the love of meeting and talking about our Big Dogs and having some beers with each other. I understand this site as well as most others has it's "clicks" but as Black Ball said if you don't want others in the ride don't post for a group ride! PM your Click! My Pit blew up on mwe Thursday and Black Ball was the first one there to help me out among others. Again if this rubs people the wrong way thats OK because we were not exactly happy with how this went down. Thanks for being there for me Black Ball! We'll ride and party again soon brother!

Damn! Doesn't exactly sound like the group of guys I've met on this site. Were you guys dressed in drag or something? OK, just kidding. I'll be curious to hear the replies of others that were there. Like you said, I understand "clicks" but a group ride should have put those aside. Was there a "scheduled" group ride for this event or was everyone just going to get together and decide later?

Just out of curiosity, who were the other members with you? I only heard of a few that were hanging with Eric and BBC. Are these the guys you're referring to? I didn't know anyone else from the forum was there, including you all, so you may be talking about someone else.

Guys this is obviously a misunderstanding. We were all there doing a bunch of standing around and talking. The group ride had planned to have kickstands up @11Am. There were several of us who asked where was everyone at. Can we get a head count etc. Apparently several of the members had wondered away without saying anything to anyone else. We didn't know who was in or who was out for the ride. At 1130AM 30 min past when we were planning to leave we decided to take several group photos. If anyone else had been standing right there at the big dog truck they would have seen us all taking pics looking like jackazzes. lol. I know I asked several members where the others were and no one knew anything. So I apologize you guys were left. That was never anyone's intention at all. As a matter of fact I was told that several members caught up to us during the ride, but turned off and went to fins. Again this sounds like a big misunderstanding and I am sure others who were there will vouch to this as they chime in. I will agree that this time was less organized than any other I have been on in the past, however there was not any ill will.

Sorry to hear of these complaints but needs to be said so that in the future organizers are more vocal with what is planned for the day/ride.

I know that I will keep this in mind for our 3rd group ride/luncheon in Sturgis this year so that everyone knows what is going on.

It was not a good meeting place as far as parking every ones bikes were parked all over.Next time we should meet where all can park together,and also have a route planed out with stops printed on paper & map so if someone gets dropped or can't make it through red lite they can regroup up the road.

I had no problems with the ride,, we did leave later than we should have tring to get all those together that wanted to ride,,, we even got some folks in that rode other brands,,,, we pulled over to allow eveyone to line up.. the we had to stop due to the leaders passanger droped a camera so we stoped to get it,,,, we wont mention names....:lol:... then another member droped a bike,,, dun no how it happened,, we wanted to make sure all were ok before we went further,,,, then we proceaded on.. had a good ride... if you got left behind..... well try to stay with the croud,,, well all tried to anounce we were leaving.. a # of times.... sorry dude the guy with the yamaha ( dont know his name ) could keep up..... he was cool dude,, rhonda keep up & she rides slow. on the kick ass crossbones.... hell if anyone couldnt keep up ,, sorry I thought we went rather slow most of the whole trip... myself & superfly did blat off a few times but made sure eveyone cought up..even if we went through stop light we pulled over to let eveyone catch up.... its not our fault.........

And to add to erics reply, BBchopper was bringing up the back of the pack. He knew where we were going in case we got split up. Everyone that started with us all ended up at the same place. Sorry again to those who were missed. lightweight and blackball.

This ride was cluster fuck operation I road with the group ride at biketober fest and it was the highlight of that rally for me. I road with the other members were left behind and I dont think them being able to keep Issue. I will be at in Leesburg but do not plan on making a group unless there is kinda plan.I did meet some stand up Dog Owners Though that i would ride with any time and havw beer with.

I was standing waiting straight after we all had our photos, and not one person came up to me and said we are about to leave. Black Ball & myself had parked right by the BDM truck. When we saw all the bikes start up and take off we all got on and moved it to try to catch up. I lost my BDM beanie which came off, I didn’t want to stop to pick it up because I knew if I did I would never find anyone. Like superfly said it must have been a BIG misunderstanding, and yes it was a late take off, but no one said OK guys & Girls lets go. Something to think about on future runs:2thumbs:

it seems strange that most of us ended up riding together... & we all didnt have any problems...we rode all together & ended up from 1 bar to another all together... I dont really understand the problem.... its not like it was a escorted ride,, get over it....maybe next time we can have name tags, roll call.. & a line up.. for the peps that missed out,,, hay what about a cop @ the frt & end of the line to keep all of us together... maybe a gps tracking system to keep everyone on time & together...:roll::roll::bang::bang::bang:

Sounds like the group of people that rode off had a great time as the guys that got left behind did to just at other places. I was there at 10:30 and ready to get after it but no one to be found. So me and the wife got a berger and waited. We finally meet up with Black Ball, lightweight, choppermike and pompey. I got a huge Big Dog patch and my leather and so did the wife and lightweight and no one knew who was in or out lol. Look i dont give two shits and a fuck if i am sounding like a baby or not, but it would have been a little better if people all made sure everyone was ready to ride. Once we seen everyone get going we had no problem catching up ( Black Ball, Pompey and Me with the wife hanging on to me for dear life broke 100 plus a few times lol ) so it was the best part of the riding part catching up if you ask me. I got to say Black Ball is the funniest mother fucker i have ever met and Pompey is one cool yank. Lightweight can slam down a few beers and still walk a straight line.........as long as chopper mike was there to hold his little ass up. All in all had a good time with the BDB guys i met. Now we got to get all the BDB guys to come up to MN and go for a ride ( ride em over 55 and rap them pipes a little ) I might even race Black Ball again ( when we were 120 plus down A1A and your throttle got stuck Liz and I thought you were a dead man lol Pin it to win it Black
