I had a response ready to post untill I saw this post:

Then I also thought "need a video or this"



Cop in Seattle once told me as we were watching a vehicle being hooked up and towed away, that there is not a chain, dog, alarm or any other theft deterent that will work when a determined, thoughtfull thief wants your item. A good thief can have your car, truck or trailer heading down the road in less than a minute and you will not even have time to get out your door to see what is going on. A bike can he heading down the road in a pickup in less than 30 seconds.

Cop did however offer this:
The alarm going off will alert you to the fact that your scoot is now in someone else's hands and will allow you time to call in your LOJACK # for a quick recovery and conviction.

About the only thing that all security devices do is send the less than professionals on to the next bike. The pros are going to take whatever bike they want no matter what.

Interesting idea. Just as good as a disc lock I think. But at least you wont forget this one!
