Green air filters

I'm running the S&S High Flow air cleaner kit on my chopper. It has 1" standoff bolts you put on the backing plate before your air cleaner cover goes on. That said here's my question... I'm currently using the S&S filter element that came with the kit, I don't think K&N makes a filter for this kit, (the filter needs to be 1" deeper than stock) if they do the parts guy is fuckin' liar. Green High Performance Air Filters does make the filter i need. Does anybody out there have any experience with or opinions on the green filters.

I've ran the "Green" filter now for about three years. In my opion it's just the same as the K&N on green! They also have lots of other colored oils available. I'm sure K&N makes a filter the size you need also. But the reason I went with the Green filter is cause it's site was so much easier finding the size I needed for my cone filter then K&N's site.

Still they are the same if you me! :D

Thanks Raywood I appreciate it. I was curious to see if they last like the K&N before i spent the money on one. Is it the filter thats colored or is it the oil that makes the color.

As Pro says it's the oil that makes the color. You can get Wimmer fiber/paper filters that are more colorful but they don't flow as much.

I would say that the K&N or a Green filter will last you as long as you have the bike if you take good care of it.

It's a 3 inch filter. That's the one that will fit with the standoffs. You can get a K&N or regular. The green filters are great also.
