Grease on belt

Hi everyone, I have an 04 chopper (love it) I'm getting a lot of grease on my belt (left side belt) I figured it was the jack shaft seal and had it replaced. I'm in Ontario and don't have any Big Dog mech's around but I am very close to norther Michigan if anyone has a guy. Anyway the grease is getting picked up on the inside edge and then getting everywhere on the ass end. Not sure I trust the pro bike mech who worked on it or it's comming from somewhere else. So here are my questions.

1. I have some mech skills but no where near a pro. How hard is it for me to remove the primary and check those seals.
2. Could be barking up the wrong tree? Where could the grease be coming from?

Anyway this forum is always the best source for this kind of info so any thoughts are welcome.

Nothing down there is "grease" It's more than likely a mix of road grim and the oil/fluid from some place. #1 - what trans/primary fluid are you using? If using Redline in the tranny, it is a pink color so you can rule out a seal leak there. #2 - There are a few other possibilities, the jackshaft bolt has a rubber around it. They should have put silicon on it when they installed it. There is also a seal there the main shaft goes through the primary. If your inner primary bearing walked it could be leaking there. You have to take the primary apart to see that. It's not a hard job. If you buy the cometic gastic kit that Wild Steed Worx advertises it has all the seals and clips EXCEPT the jackshaft lock tab and seal washer. You can get them from Harley/JPCycle/Curtis but make sure you get the correct bolt size. There is 1/4 (pre 94) and there is #10. (94 up). I got some pics at home I can post. If you look on youtube there are some videos on Harley EVO Primary removal.

You can try and get a mirror and a flashlight and look around the pulley/belt area, but all that stuff is spinning and tossing crap around in there but you might see it.
