gps ?

hey guys ,anybody wire a gps to thier dog if so how did you do it?
the gps battery only lasts a couple hours.

I have the 550 as well, but it's only mounted on the harley. How did you mount yours on the chopper? Any pics? I'd like to see how it looks.

i bought a Kuryakn GPS handlebar case. strap wraps around handlebar. works great.

as far as wiring. i used rays idea and made harness thats adapts my (lighter style ) socket to pigtail that plugs into my tender connector on battery

I have the Garmin Zumo 550 hard wired like Dakotabos using the motorcycle mount that comes in the box. They supply a car mount also, so you can move the GPS from one vehicle to the other with out moving the mount. I have had this set up for a couple of years. Works great !

I use the mount that came with the GPS and I have it ZIP tied to the Speedo Mount and you cant see the zip ties unless you look under the GPS. It was a quick mounting due to I left to Sturgis the next day. GREAT FOR FINDING GAS STATIONS My group never ran out of gas in the 2200 miles
