Just got it running from the jumper wire I'm thinking maybe starter relay

Much more likely that it is the hand controls and you need to check that next.

Well I have a ‘04 also & no starter relay per say. It’s all controlled through the EHC. My 2000 with the Thunderheart ECM has the old school starter relay I assume you are thinking of. ‘02 or ‘03 was last year for that particular setup I believe.
