Got the chopper back today.

I got the Chopper back. It put out 117 HP 146 Tq. It has a blip at around 4500 rpms. The guy said it could be a bad ignition switch. It running real good, I normally don`t run it that hard anyway. So I think I will ride it as it is , and slowly look for the electrical glitch. Any advise would be welcomed.

I see....

After 8 months of waiting , I finely got the motor back and on the chopper.
It`s a true 117 S&S now. It has a 626 cam , larger valves , coated pistons , went with a new cam sensor ignition, instead of the crank sensor that came with the bike. The guy who built the motor said he has never experience any problems with the EHC after he installed that kind of ignition. Will see but I heard it start up tonight and it sounds great. It`s going to take some time to break it in. He says he makes the motors real tight. I`m just glad to finely be making progress on the bike. Boy I wish I had of taken it there before it blew up. It would have cost me 1800.00 instead of the 4500.00 it ended up costing me. But it`s a brand new motor , everything was done on it. New push rods , the crank has been bal. & trued. Pick it up tomorrow. Can`t wait.
My Harley on the other hand is totaled. I thought I could settle with the insurance company and keep the bike and fix it and put it back on the road. Aparently it doesn`t work like that in NJ. Once the bike is totaled in order to get a salvage title everything would have to be fixed. The frame would have to be straightened by a cert. Frame place. Which would mean a total tear down. Which would end up costing me more than I`m willing to send. So now I just want the Bike replaced. I don`t think I`m asking to much. Will see , but , at least I have my Dog back. I`m so can`t to ride the chopper again. I almost forgot what it was like to ride it.

The Motor ate the front cylinder exhaust valve when it had 8000 miles on it. Destroyed the motor so I thought. The guy who has done work for me for years named Joey Sternotti ( who happens to be the world record holder for the fastest pass on a top fuel harley) was able to save the motor and rebuild it. It has a 626 cam in it. It had the Valves enlarged , I had manual compression releases installed. The crank was balanced and trued so there is minimal vibration. He did the heads of course and the thing runs great. A lot of power. I question the torque numbers though , but , I have the dyno sheet and that what it says. I wasn`t looking for peak numbers on the hp or tq. I was more interested in the air/fuel mixture. I didn't`t get the read out from that. Since I wasn`t there I have to take them at there word. The tuner put a 84 main jet in it and I think I have a 29.5 pilot jet . I`m not sure. I`m just glad it running good. Now if I can just figure out what the electrical glitch is at 4500 rpms , I would be real good. He said it may be the ignition switch. What does everyone think about that? Plus does anyone know where I could get a replacement switch?
Thanks
