I have accepted a job in Singapore as a Captain flying a Gulfstream for a American oil company based there. My wife and I are scheduled to leave on the 17th, which is pretty quick.

Once I get settled, I am going to try to get my bike into the country, I will have find out what the rules are, they are pretty strick, I will let you all know.

I won't be on here much for awhile, I have made some very close friends from this site, I have had a lot of fun and feel privilged to be a member here. I will post some photos from Singapore soon.

Good luck. My brother just came back from visiting Singapore and said its great. I know the citizens have to pay a huge tax to own vehicles and was told after 10 years, the vehicles are turned into the gov. That said, my brother thought ex-pats have a way to work around that. He really like it for a big city type atmosphere. Very clean. Obviously, very strict on crime also.

Super strict!!!!! Be prepared to put a muzzle on the dog. The Harleys aren't even loud enough to scare a fly off of dog shit!:roll::roll: No chewing gum there and don't get caught with any you might get a lashing for it:lol::lol::lol:

Being caught with drugs is an offense that is punishable by death! They are very strict with a lot of things but you wouldn't have to worry much about crime because they all fear the lashing or the death penalty.

Other than that Singapore is a beautiful place to see, not so sure I would live there but none the less very nice there. Good luck with you and your new career there.:2thumbs:

Definitely come back with pics. Private pilot sounds like a great job. Good luck on your new venture.

Good Luck, I am sure the job opportunity is too good to pass up. I here that!

Not sure if your originally from MO or not as I know that makes a move such as that even more difficult.

BTW, if you need a place to store your mastiff, I suppose I can give it a few runs a few times a year I got room in my garage in Dallas :D
