I was in search of new bike. Found 2007 K9. But this time since I am putting the offer to private seller, through ebay that I found, I set the time inspection of the bike. In the morning I will be there to see the bike.
Any idea or suggestion about the VIn number to check. Since company went out of the business , there is no dealership willing to give this information. More over bike will be sold as is, no part back up or any part that I can call to manufacture..
I can see the details until certain point, but Vin check is essential..
ANY SUGGESTION.???..or as k9 owners, any certain place or any specific location that I should look at ..???

How many miles are on the bike?

To me if everything works(turn signals, brake lights, headlight, trans shifts fine stays in gear and engine isn't making any noise in top end you are fine
Check for even tire wear on front and rear tires

Most of the things that could happen I'm not sure how you could check like a clutch cable going bad or a clutch basket nut.

the service bulletins that have happened to me are

1) struts bolt replacement
2) V/R check-replacement
3) EHC flash for second sweep of speedo
4) side cover mounting fix
5) clutch hub nut re-tightened

seems like that was all there was.

does it have the sissy bar struts? the early '07 didn't have them and that causes you to have to buy them if you want them.

Thanks for you all,....
I saw the bike today, seems like, sit et in the garage for last 2 years easly..has lot of chrome chips all over the metal parts which I will clean them out as much as I can, more over I can send them to chrome places.
What really pissed me off, I went to Bergen County Harley, which they were Big Dog dealer, and requested the regular service, (oil change, checking the cables etc. no major work) and I rejected due to inefficient part supply from dealer..They can not even service the bike...

They indicated that k9 even have has is own oil filter which was bluounyy, evo filter fits fine..such a losers, stuck up A..H.., cant believe the dealership can do that..
