The fuel valve on my K-9 is made by Pingel. Not sure if all dogs have a Pingel or not but here a story about GREAT customer servcie from a company.
Went to reinstall my fPingel fuel valve. Noticed it turned smoth from off to on to Res, but going back to ff, it was tight. Looked down the tube that the fule line attaches to and noticed a rubber o-ring sticking out when in the off position. Figured, shit here we go now I need another fuel valve probably cost me a c-note, as everything else does. Looked at the unit to see if I could disassemble it myself and maybe replace to blown o-ring. Decided to check Pingel's web site and they have a teck support line. I called them up told them my problem, they said no probelm send back the valve with a check for $12 bucks and they would rebuild the valve and ship it back to me. If the valve was less then 2 years old, they would rebuild it for free and send it back. I checked the build date of my valve on the phone with the guy from Pingel, there is a number stamped on the bottom. Mine was made in '05 probably sat on the shelf at Big Dog for a year as my bike is an '06. No big deal the guy says send it to them they will fix it. Shipped it out, & they rebuilt the valve and had in the mail back to me with in 48 hours of receiving it. Got the valve back today, smooth as silk. They included a bunch of stickers with it as well. Best $12 bucks I have ever spent. Wish all parts manuf. were as easy to deal with!
