Ginz Struts/Sissy Bar Installed

Got the parts the other day and put them on, everything fit well and very precise. Removing the pins for the break lights and re-threading them through the struts and putting the connecters back together were a little hard to see. But all in all took about 2-3 hours.

On your chopper did you have to drill new holes in the back? I have a 2004 and they say I have to drill a hole for the struts since they are longer.

I have an "05 it was all bolt on. Great quality!

Thanks! Its got a few nicks here and there but I think I can live with it verses new paint. I love the paint as well.

From tail to tip 26" I preferred it taller to just be extreme but the guy from Ginz recommended no higher than my mirrors. Great guy, great service and very helpful with making the right desicion.

I want watched Ebay for some time for used ones but never saw a single set listed so I just ordered up, I paid 1300 wich I knows a ton but I had no other options and was tired of waiting. Not knocking BD parts bits these fit like a glove. The good thing is I have something different and what I wanted.

Do the tail lights stick out really far? I have an 04 DT and there are not any BDM strut kits. I can rig a bulldog set to work but I did not like the profile, it has a different edge and a different radius. Its a bunch of money for this kit. Now it is chrome and all but still. Plus it is like 10 wks to get the setup.

They don't seem to stick out anymore than they did. Maybe 3/8 inch each? Im sure he could give you the measurements.
