So Toad, why install the NOS? Are you going to be running the bike on the track, or do you get in a lot of races in your area (crotch Rockets) while out on the road cruising? Just wondering...

I have run the bike on the track (which was somewhat controversial on this board as well) to see how the bike performed stock. I ran a 12.1 second 1/4 mile last year and I plan to run it this year to compare the time after all the mods and NOS. I think it is a cool mod, and if used right it is safe so…… why not?

It has a purge valve with a hidden button and it looks neat spraying from under the tank. This set up is designed so once armed it automatically triggers at WOT and away you go.

Vegas, just because someone does something different then you would choose to do doesn’t make it wrong.

Hey Toad you keep on rockin brother. Its visionarys like you that pave the way for others who are interested in the same thing.

SO many angry people in the world that want to purge their shit on others.

I wouldn't do it as I just enjoy cruisin but it do sound lilke fun.
And when did it become a crime to be proud of something you accomplished

Not to burst any bubbles but my bike runs stronger on the dyno than those numbers with out NOS.
No bubble busted. Numbers are just that, numbers. Unless we run on the same dino on the same day a comparison isn't valued in my eyes. The tech I talked to said stock Big Dogs were puling about 88hp on that particular dino. I would love to meet some Big Dogs at a bike week with an inexpensive dino to see what kind of numbers we pull, but how accurate is a Dino being bounced and pulled behind a truck for miles and miles?

Anyway... I did not choose to install NOS to win any dino contests or drag races; that would be foolish. I did it because I think it is cool.

Do ya know about how many shots you'll get from those bottles ??
I will only get four quarter mile runs out of the two bottles. The down side is the fun goes quick. I chose to go with the sleeker chrome bottles instead the larger painted ones. This is mainly for looks and just to know its there if I want it. I didn't want to wear a scuba tank full of NOS on my back. LOL

Here is a video of the Mutt purging some NOS. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9rH2xjogos]YouTube - MOV01198.MPG[/ame]

I took the bike out on some country roads this afternoon and gave it hell. I am amazed at how hard it pulls. I felt like I was hanging on for dear life, my mirrors were bent back and I think I shit my pants a little. Once I got around 95mph, which seemed like two seconds, I couln't shift fast enough to keep it out of the rev limiter. I have the thunderheart ignition and was wondering what these bikes can handle rev limit wise? What do you guys have them set at?
