Getting Rained on

The weather forecast for today was 0% chance of rain, so I rode the dog to work. Sure enough, its getting soaked as I type this. The bike has never seen water, much less sat out in the rain. Anything I should do before riding it to prevent electrical problems? Its also got the dual runner air filter with open air filters that aren't covered up.

I've ridden in the tons with mine (12 hours of straight rain one ride) and haven't had any problems that could be directly blamed on the rain. The worst part is the clean up afterwards.

You should however get some rain socks for your air filter or cover them in some way if possible.

This won't help you now but before it rains again, pull your front and rear lights and give them a good coat of silicone conformal coating. I had a board corrode and fry. Easy to fix before that happens. Waterproofing is good.:2thumbs: (This works for all electronic boards.)
