Recently bought an 06 k9. Trying to get some info on amsoil eaom 137 oil filters. I've searched amsoils website but i can' seem to find that p/n. Google it nothing comes up. I do see that some members here use this filter so can anyone tell me what the micron rating is?, does it fit on a k9?, safe to use on a 117? etc. Opinions and recommendations appreciated.Thanks.

Thanks. I was offered 6 free 137c's thats why i'm so interested. I decided to call amsoil tech dept. I was told the 137 is a 15 micron filter and totally safe to use on a 117". Now, some say anything less than a 30 micron filter can be to restrictive. So now what? Well, i like free but maybe i should play it safe and just get the k&p. Thanks.

Yes the 135 Amsoil is the correct filter however this filter will be somewhat restrictive. Also no matter what it is rated at this is not an absolute 15 micron filter. That means that some larger particles will pass thru it.
I am an Amsoil Dealer but run the K&P on my Road King. It is the same S4 filter that fits the Dogs. What this gives me is absolute 35 micron filtering with nothing larger getting thru and the highest flow rate in the industry.

If your interested I have them on The Group Buy Page in Chrome and Polished Billet finish.

To ease my curiosity i called S&S to inquire about this micron issue. The tech i spoke with told me due to a high volume oil pump in the 117" that there is absolutely no problem using a 15 micron filter. With that being said i think i will accept the free filters. Yay!
