Gas Tank

So I finally got around to replacing my fuel pump this past weekend opened up the tank take the pump out an notice that like many, my tank liner is peeling. So I read some of the past threads on the liners coming apart. I ordered the Kreem kit. I also called the local Harley Davidson and ask if they do the lining on tanks and the service guy tells me yes. So I figure I'd rather pay to get it done and I don’t have to miss with it. So service guy ask me what the tank was on, once I told him a big dog he said they have a policy that they don’t work on Big Dogs. Have any of you ever experienced this?

A policy that they do not work on big dogs? I guess your money just isnt as good. Sorry to hear that.

Find another mechanic or do it yourself can't imagine it is that hard.

Screw the dealership and drop the Kreem. Get Caswell tank liner and do it yourself. Formulated for ethenal fuels and will save you hundreds by doing it yourself. Easy to follow instructions. I've done both mine and my wifes tanks on our dogs. Never another problem.......with the liner anyway.

Have any of you used the kreem liner thats what i ordered have a friend that used it on his bike. He lined it about 2.5 years ago has not had any problems with it. Thats why I decieded to go with the Kreem now ya got me thinking if I should just use the Caswell.

I used Kreem in my last HD. Worked fine. It really speeds up the drying time if you blow air into the tank while It's setting up.

A few years ago. I don't have the bike anymore. Didn't have any trouble with the liner for the 2-3 years I had it in a custom tank I put on the bike.

Finally linning my gas tank letting the cleaner sit over night. I will prob instal the fuel pump wednsday afternoon. Can someone let me know if I need to replace the screen. Or how can I tell if it needs a new one. Thanks any advice is helpful
