Gas Tank

Does anyone know the demission’s for a 2008 Mastiff Gas tanks I’ve had mine crack and leak gas twice since I bought it. Big Dog said it was a factory defect and they fixed it and painted it for free but it cracked in the same spot again. I’m thinking of just buying a new tank, but big dog tank is 800$. Looking to see if I can find something cheaper.

Thought about just taking it to a welder yourself? Could save you some money, besides the painting part.

The gas tank is black with the dragon blade paint job. I want to buy a new tank and fenders so that i can get a custom job. I just want to keep the original paint so trying to shop for aftermarket fenders and tank. The fenders aren't priced to bad it's the tank that is expensive.

Try and ask Shovelheadkicker on ebay...
He always has bdm stuff for sale.
Has tanks quite often.

You can't mount anything but a BD tank on there without some frame modifications. Just bring the tank to a welder or put some POR15 in there if the crack is too small to see.

Thanks Guys I appreciate the info. I'll just wait a while see if I can find a BDM gas tank on Ebay. I'll be taking the gas tank off today and sending it to get sealed/ welded properly and painted to match the rest of bilke.

The tank should be an easy to fix for any good welder. Its that damn paint thats always a pain.
