I need the rubber gas tank mount that screws into the frame on my 08 k9. Do any vendors on here have one?

I searched there, but there website blows. There are no pictures of anything so its hard to tell if I'm getting exactly what I need. I only go through them as a last resort, but thanks for the suggestion.

Well here is the picture, the part no is 130-000200-00 and the price is 24.95 plus shipping. I guess you didn't know that they have an exploited view of most part they sell. :2thumbs:

I'm getting a lot of left to right shaking towards the top of my tank. I know the rear rubber needs to be replaced, but does the front rubber grommets need to be replaced also.

I would while you are under there. How many miles do you have on her. sounds more like something came loose.

I replaced all of my rubbers at once. Small cost and the tank quiet down as I had a bad noise at about 80MPH unless I put my hand on the tank....

My front grommets were good when I took my tank off but the back was a little worn which allowed the tank to vibrate which I could see and feel. However, I wrapped the back with some electrical tape to take up the slop and all is good.

just replace them now...My tank was riding forward on the frame, and the rear grommet had cracked all the way through, exposing the head of the bolt...all i needed was for that bolt head to slam through the bottom of that tank. Also, it was warn enough that the frame was butted up against the tank and shattered all the paint off the front of the tank - all the way to the metal. You can get them from bdpp pretty quickly, and they're real easy to replace. Get the rear of the tank seated correctly first, then push the tank forward onto the front grommets. I highly advise taking the handlebars off however, because its a pain in the ass to get the tank off without scratching it, and its much easier to just take the two bolts out of the bottom of the handlebars on the triple tree. I severely damaged the paint on my tank trying to take the short cut of not taking it off properly.
