gas milage

I get about the same for my normal riding, maybe 35MPG range. I will say though that I could get better if I kept the RPM range down more and used the 6th gear more. Tend to like to keep the range right around the 3000 or just a tad below range. So seldom do I use 6th gear unless I am on the Interstate and then only when I get up to above 70+ plus range.

On steady highway running, tend to get closer to 40 MPG, depending on conditions

I have the Mean Mothers, Super E, 600 S & S cam on a 05 Mastiff. Runs good overall with plenty of power and get up and go when needed.

High 40's almost 50 on the highway and low 40's putting around town. XXX your carb and you'll get better gas mileage. But who really cares about gas mileage when your having fun. Might as well ride a Vespa if you do.

I normally get in the 40's. Over 90 mph for for the entire tank will get above 50mpg with a stock carb.

Im getting around 40-43 on stock 2004 Mastiff. Goes down to 30-35 with a lot of "playing" especially around stop and go traffic.

I checked it when trying out jet combos and wound up about 42mpg ... like reloader, I don't bother anymore I fill up set my odometer to zero and run it till it hits 150 miles or less and fill er up again. Less than 40mpg your having too much fun!! :spank:

I have a 05 Ridgeback with the sidewinder intake MM pipes. 100 trip from Cottonwood to Phoenix 3300 elevation to 1150 elevation --- basicly downhill ..doing 75 -80mph 43mpg ... Phoenix to Cottonwood ... uphill doing 70mph got 51mpg. Ok sometimes we got up to 90 just for fun ... if you want max gas milage keep it at 70mph and enjoy the scenery ... at 75 - 80 the wind would sometimes blow my foot off the pegs ... going to get the Kyriyakyn switchblade pegs to hopefully avoid that problem. :D  :whoop: :2thumbs:
FYI ... in town I get about 36mpg ... so I got to watch my milage ... twice I ran out of gas in town. :spank: :bang:

Reserve is only good if you know how to use it .... I think the 05 manual is incorrect on the lever for the reserve and on/off positions ... which I didn't pay attention to the markings on the valve ... :spank: :bang: :argue:
And ran totally out of gas ... luckly in town ... peddled the bike to gas station that was luckly down hill ... a cop just gave me a justified look of "what an idiot" ... but I made it to the gas station and filled her up. That was the first time ... the second time I just wasn't paying attention to the milage and in town riding and at about 120miles burrrrrp ... and that time I had reserve !!!!! yahooooooo voorooooommm!!!!:spank: :2thumbs: :loony:
