2008 Mastiff EFI vance & hines big radius 2 into 1 cone air filter.
3500 miles
I smell gas every once and a while but can not find a leak. Just yesterday I warmed the bike up leaving work @ 4:30 in the morning. It was 55 degrees out side and I could smell gas bad. No leaks. Rode for 8 miles. stopped at a red light, the best I could tell, gas was pouring out of the air filter and on to the motor and pipes. Made it home ( a block away). Checked it the next morning OK no leaks no drips nothing. Warmed it up and rode still nothing.
Any body got any Ideas????????????

With your air filter on you can't tell but it connects behind the upper engine mount. Are you sure you throttle is closing all the way? I have heard my stepper motor at night due to the throttle not being fully closed. I thought it was the fuel pump at first but it was not. You also have a crossover line on the front side of the tank underneath you need to check, but check the supply line connector under the tank to make sure it is tight and fuel is not running down the line. You line also is routed tight to the cylinder head and make sure it is not rubbing through but it would spray everywhere. If all else fails, on the newer tanks underneath there is a pressure valve kinda like a valve stem to check and the fuel pump bolts into one side of the tank which could leak fuel also through the mounting surface.
