Gas cap stuck.....

I have searched this thread, just want to know if I understand. 2005 pitbull, left tank cap turns only about 1/4 inch. Whats the best way to try and move? What tool ? and what direction? Just dont want to make it worse.

Left hand threads to remove the left tank cap... Righty loosey

Left tank is reverse thread. Rubber gloves and force. You can sand the threads down ever do slightly. Sand a little and try it. Sand a little and try it. You get it just right.

I thought I had a problem with my left cap. Then Raywood clued me in on the reverse thread. Yeah. I felt dumb.
