Gas cap leaking

Starting to feel like Rosanna Rosanna Danna "if it ain't one thing it's another". :bang: Just filled up and parked in the garage. Go out a few minutes later and have gas running down the side of the tank. Anyway, anyone know what size that O-ring is and if replacing it will stop the leak? Any inputs appreciated!

You probably just overfilled the tank. I always fill mine up with the bike on the kickstand and stop fueling before the gas gets to the filler neck. I've seen them leak out the gas cap if the tank is to full and its hot outside also.

Over fill IMO! I've done it too. When the pump clicks off, she's full! Like Mickee said, keep your level below the filler neck while on the kick stand.

Same here and even more than once since it has the Fat Bob type split tanks. Even on the stand (I have to fill each tank), many times when it is hot and I do not start using it soon, I fill the left to the neck, cap it and then fill the right to the neck and if it is hot, sometime the fuel drained over to the left and it overflowed.

Now most of the time I fill it while sitting level on the bike to the neck, then get it moving and using as soon as possible. So tend to make my store run and cig break before filling.
