Had some fun with the sales team at Home Depot ...played the Lowes /Home Depot ..price game ..bought a new garage door opener...ended up with this model Chamberlain 3/4 HPS Whisper Drive Plus Belt Drive Garage Door Opener with EverChargeâ„¢ Standby Power - HD900D at The Home Depot
I got a great deal $215.00 and they threw in a MINI remote to make it super deal!!! coming in on the bike at night will never be the same! This thing is soooo quite and fast it also has battery back up and a plug in light control for house lights or something else!! Install was easy and fast !!!!!

What model do you have????? Now I need that bike lift!!!! :up:

I've got the Genie Excelerator - opens 2x as fast a regular door.

Also have the mini remote which is great !!

I seem to remember some on the other site or read it somewhere where and actual remote opener was wired two the high beam of the head light. That would be a cool trick but worries me on these BD electronics.

I saw that, too, RRRUFF and was equally worried about the electronics.

The mini remote was the next best option IMHO.

I have the Ronco super duty thingamagig sidewinder model # FGTT4839394VVGTSSDFFBBNHJJJU. It come with a midget that crawls under the door and pulls the cord that does absolutly nothing but then the door opens. Fucking amazing. That little midget fits right in my pocket so it works every time. I bought it at a estate sale. :roll: :roll: :roll:

I don't think anyone actually pulled it off - for the same reason you mentioned. But, you just may be the first! :up:

I bought the same one a couple of months ago... actually, my Dad picked it up from Lowes as a "opened - returned item" because the installer repaired the customers existing opener... $179 I think...
My Dad spends more than he makes some weeks on all the "great deals", but has definately hooked me up several times. :2thumbs:
I've been waiting for a new entry door for over a year though... I have been bugging him to transfer to millworks since they get 1st dibs :lol:
