FYI S&S carb big dog owners. I don't know if its been covered before or not. DaVinci makes a power boost kit for the S@S carbs which is a secondary venturi which is supposed to eliminate the stumbling issues with S&S carbs when transitioning from the intermediate jet to the main jet and give you better acceleration. I already fixed the stumble, it's called a Mikuni 45!

I installed a yost power tube years ago and have no stumbling issues at all

The best mod, and the most horsepower and torque gains, are achieved by NOT installing all that fancy, voodoo, non power making shit,(especially that booster thing). Just boring the carb, jetting it properly, and tuning the engine perfectly, are your biggest gains.

Oh! and nothing will help the carb out with a poor choice of pipes, or air cleaners.

Amen John. The only engines that run their best with short pipes on are top fuel motors with blowers on then the size of a K9. On the other hand the short pipes and fancy air cleaners do sound and look good. To each his own.
