I attempted this once on a ducati 996 and now i'm gun shy. I want to fully dissassemble them so I can get upper and lower clamps powder coated. I've found some pictures online of them fully disassembled and it doesn't look like they're too scary. Anyone done this? if its a huge pain I'll just buy a black set from ebay.
