Fuel Valve

Hi everyone, I have 07 K-9 and need to replace my fuel valve. Can anyone tell me when I remove old one will the fuel in tank spill out? also any suggestions

Yep, you need to drain your tank first. Even after draining it there will be some residual fuel left in the tank and some more will still come out so have some rags near by...:2thumbs:

Some members here have reported very poor amount of reserve.
Would be worth removing yours and checking for debri that may be blocking fuel flow.
It just may be the nature of the design.

Just changed mine out for a duel petcock for a nitrous system,got the new one from Pingel, Great service from them,They custom built mine, very fast service ( about 5 days from order to door ). I also ran out a few times and reserve is low amount of fuel, just shake back and forth and pray a station is really close...

Hey egoK9, at least you did remember that you had a reserve tank. I ran out not long ago on my bike and never occured to me to switch to reserve and find a fueling depot.

Senior moment from a former metric rider with an idiot light. :roll:
