FUEL PICK-UP ON THE BAGGER TANK

Howdy,
Don't know if this is the right forum but here it goes. The tank on my bagger has the fuel pick-up lines in the front of the tank. When I'm down low on fuel and trying to get a speed grip, the bike cuts and sputters until the momentum catches up. Suffice to say, it's not getting the required juice. I need a fix. Any thoughts and suggestions. The people I ride with all love to drag.....

You sure its not an issue with the accelerator pump adjustment? Is it a hesitation when you roll the throttle hard? Then it caches up? Just a thought.

So the way I take what you're sayin is the with a lower amount of fuel and hard exceleration, the fuel is going to the back of the tank and away from the pickup cauisng a starvation of fuel. I know in race oil pans they have baffles to keep this from happening to oil pick up at the pump. But I'm not sure how you would solve this unless you had a rear pick up in your tank.

That sounds like a lot of mod for your FI set up. Might be cheaper to just fuel up about every 75-100 miles depending on your MPG.

Or maybe Raywood has come out with a new fuel pack vest with a line just dropped over in to the tank:D

Any idea's on the tank mfg? I could go with baffles and and extra pick-up,,,,Don't know where to go though,

For what its worth...I talked with BDMPP and they told me the fuel pump was made by or supplied by S&S. Have you had it out to see what it would take to make a different pick up for it? Maybe it would be worth the time to try to hook up a video camera and fuel pressure gauge to check some readings??

Mine a 07 Bulldog use to do that and found the pickup screen was clogged. My liner had come apart and contaminated the screen.
