Let my ST1100 sit for less than a year. Got clogged up. Had to pull the carbs off and clean the jets. Could not remove the other pressed in jets so I used my jet needles and cleaned them that way.

Son of a bitch I may have missed one or was too lazy to remove the low speed screws out. Went and bought a couple of cans of Sta-Bil and that didn't help. So I bought injector cleaners and threw those in.

Still ran like crap but somewhat cleaned it a little. Then tried sea foam. So my new cocktail mix is using all 3 chemicals at once. I figured sea foam helped the most. Now I can start the bike with no choke, being it's been getting warmer.

Now the thing runs a whole lot better. Bought a gallon of Sta and throw that in with every gas fill seeing is I don't know when I'll let it sit for awhile.

A few years ago my Mastiff wouldn't start. It would turn over and was getting spark and fuel. When I sprayed starting fluid in the carb it would start briefly but wouldn't run. Someone on this forum said it could be bad gas. The bike had been sitting for 3 months. I drained the tanks and carb, put in new fuel, and presto it started and ran fine! After that I started using Star Tron and never had a problem again.
