Sorry to look for advise and rant on at the same time - Here's the scoop!

I finally got my whole carb ordeal straightened out and the bike was running the best it ever has:2thumbs:

Now the problem:

The piece of shit won't start at all! I'm getting gas out of the carb:up: but I can't even get the bike started with the enrichner on:down: .

The bike seems like it wants to start but when I give some fuel the motor starts freaking out. If I pull the enrichner the motor freaks out. I'm all out of ideas here. The plugs are new,the wires are new(replacement wires exactly like the stock ones), the tank is full of fresh gas, the petcock is on, and I see fuel in the inline filter on the bike.

Could it be the filter:confused: ? I don't know. I guess that I'm going to try and remove the filter and try starting the bike w/o it and see what happens:job: :job: . If intern it should be the filter I'll have to get another type perhaps the Pingel.

I pulled the seat to see if any lights flash on the ECH while cranking this tempermental bitch over and I see 2 lights flashing:confused: .

Should there be more or is that it. I'm not liking this shit at all and to be honest with you all I'm ready to get rid of this fucking thing. Little by little I'm losing the patience I have left trying to get the bike running right for the last 6 days:angry: . I get the bike running right then all of a sudden I have nothing:rant: .

Any help is greatly appreciated:2thumbs:

I know that a lot of you may have gone through the same shit at one time or another. Maybe it's something that I'm doing wrong. Don't know.

simple things first. the filter sounds like a good place to start. then, if that doesn't work, pull the infeed line off at the carb and check that.

sorry to hear this Oscar

So you rode it and it was fine then the next time you went to ride it it was like this?

what do you mean by the engine freaking out?

just thinking basics here are you sure you have fuel, spark and compression? are your compression releases working? opening the carb when trying to start will increase the compression and make it more difficult to start especially if the releases aren't working.

Which lights are coming on on the EHC? which lights, if any, come on, when you press run but before you hit start?

I pulled the line going to the carb and gas flowed out of it so I guess that checks out, I pulled the plug out of the bottom of the bowl and gas flowed out of there to.

It kind of feels rough. Like it's struggling.

All I've done is crack the throttle as if I were going to start it as I do any other time.

I don't see any #'s on them to tell you. So I really don't know.

I know you probably know all this Oscar but can when you take the air filter off and pump the throttle can you see the drops of fuel hitting the butterfly?

Yes.

It was another question that I had for Bob at xXx,

Should a severe amount of gas be shooting down the throttle body?

I know that before I changed out the stock carb it never pumped that much fuel out. Intern he told me that 2 holes are drilled into the nozzle in case one of them were to clog up with debris.

seems like fuel is not the problem then

have you checked for spark?

I'll be honest with you - I did not. I'll do that when I get home. Good idea Lee:2thumbs: .

Keep the ideas coming. Whe I get home I'll bring the lap top out with me and go through all of the ideas here and work with them.

fuel + air + spark + compression = big bang

any one not there, none of it works. we all know that. in your case compression and air are probably not the problem and we also know from you that we have fuel. so the only thing that is left is spark. check that and if no spark then figure out why. also, check your crank/cam sensor. if crank sensor make sure its not dirty, if cam sensor, make sure your timing is on . you may have spark but it may not be at the right time. hope you get it figured out oscar.

oscar, in your original post, you say you put on a new set of wires. do you still have the original wires? if so, try putting them back on and checking for start. could be bad wires.
