FSD Exhausts #1 Selling Exhaust

THE HOT ROD

FSD Exhausts is proud to announce Dealer Pricing for all

Big Dog Biker Members

The Hot Rod originally priced at $850

AVAILABLE NOW @ $699(*)

(No dealers please)

The Hot Rod has been a very successful exhaust in FSD Exhaust’s line for quite some time. Thank you! It’s time for FSD to give back. How are we going to do this? We are proud to announce dealer pricing to all BDB Forum members. We’ve never done this before.

Don’t get us wrong, dealers can make or break a company. Our customer base runs the gamut, from the everyday and weekend riders, to bike builders, and every one in between. Owner, Frankie Serrano has catered to all types. You, our customer, are the lifeblood of our company, inspiring us to improve and bring forth new innovative ideas.

Those of you familiar with FSD Exhausts’ product line know the quality, detail and superior craftsmanship that goes into each and every exhaust. Many of you will be able to identify with this kind of hard work and attention to detail. As mentioned, it’s time to give back! Therefore, the dealer pricing we are passing on to you is substantial.

The Hot Rod previously priced at $850 is being reduced to $699(*). Nope, this is not a typo, nor has Frankie lost his mind. Just because we have reduced our pricing, doesn’t mean our quality has changed. Our quality and craftsmanship is still second to none. Nothing has changed. Along with reducing the price of The Hot Rod, we’ve made substantial leaps and bounds to improve our customer service area. Over the last few years, we have bent over backwards to satisfy our customers and know you will be pleased with your upcoming FSD Exhausts experience.

Please check out our website and Facebook page in the days ahead as we showcase hundreds of our customers’ bike photos and testimonials. Authentic FSD Exhausts can only be purchased through us directly. The Hot Rods are not being offered through dealers. Your exhaust arrives with our FSD emblem artfully placed and also contains a serialized identification number.

The difference between us and other companies is simple. We’ve always done our own work and continue to do so, in house, here in the USA. We are one of the few companies out there where you can speak to an owner and order a one of a kind exhaust. We are the only exhaust company that offers modifications for 330mm and 360mm.

Frankie continues to launch new designs and what he loves to do most are one of a kind designs for your personal bike or show bike.

To Those that are using these pipes.
Is there any cones or baffles inside these pipes, hate to wake the neighbours to vigerously, or are they straight through?

I can confirm the statements made in the original post by FSD regarding the quality, craftsmanship and customer service having recently purchased these pipes for my '08 BBC Sled Pro Street. I dealt directly with Frankie and Dakota and the experience was nothing short of great! Frankie took the time to address all of my questions and delivered a tremendous product in the timeframe quoted. Here is a pic. Thanks Frankie!

No baffles

Ouch, do you think the cones would drop the noise a few db.
Love the pipes, love the look, don't like the attention of the Fed's when i am out for a Sunday ride though.
I put cones in mine.... seems to smooth things out but I don't think I gained any performance cuz when you wind these up... its like a Hemi Cuda!

What do you recommend Frankie?

I don't want to put a damper in this great deal but $699 for 2 pipes that cost around $100 to make is a great deal then so be it but not for me...

I'll take a set Bill.
I am an estimator of a metal fabrication and construction company and have owned my own fab shop for 12 years, i can assert with some aurthority that at $699 would be broken down as follows.
R&D/Pipe $50
Pipe Material $5
Machine to mandral bend% of cost $10
Laser cut manifold plates $5
Bend the pipes 2 hours at $80/hr = $160
Assemble in jig and tack weld $40
Weld and clean up $80
Transport to & from platers $10
Plating $100
Stocking fee $10
Packaging $10
Mark up of 35%
So at $699, he is definatly making $, and so he should, that is why you go into business.
Making parts and components for cars, bikes, boats is not an exacting science, so FSD may make and pay for 100 of these pipes they may sit on the shelf for a year, so his employees and vendors are paid and a % of carring that burden is past on to the consumer............us. And fair enough i recon.
But go right ahead and put some water pipe on bike.

With all due respect I believe your numbers are retail for having the work done. $50 R&D???? Once the plans are made it cost nothing per pipe.

$80 hr to bend the pipes??? I don't think so.

Tack weld $40 Their welders must get paid $120 an hr. same with weld and clean up.

I know they need to make $$ to stay in business but $699 for 2 pieces of pipe is a little too much in my book. Seems as soon as it goes on a bike the prices triple or more and us bikers are more than willing to pay for it so it goes on and on.

My buddy owns a muffler shop and makes the same style pipes for $120 not chromed. Retail chroming is around $80 so he makes money at $120 and the chrome shop makes money at $80 which is $200.... I'm sure at their shop mass producing them they make them for less than that. As long as we pay the "price" we will always "pay the price"

Besides that they are too loud and have no back pressure unless you spend more $$ on baffles. I guess some people have more money then sense... And some people love their "garage art"
