front turn signal removal

hey guys has anyone ever replaced the front turn signal housing? I noticed the back ones have a nut on the inside of the strut. any help will be apreciated. thanks

I think the front ones have a bolt going through the housing into the tripple tree. Not sure what the consequences are if you leave them off.

Yep
Nut will be behind the LED board.
If the small plug wont pull threw the hole ,cut open old housing ( destroy it )
drill out the new one so plug will fit threw - its easyer than cutting / splicing the wires.
The spacer will hide/cover the new larger hole

i just changed the housing on my rear turn signal. the bolt part i couldnt help you on on the front, but to get the old wires out and the new in without tearing anything up or apart, look at your plug and write down or take picture of which color is in which slot, then on the top there are 3 slots with silver in them, take a pic and push into one slot at a time there is a metal prong in there, push it down and pull the wire out the back. after you do all 3, pull them out of the housing 1 at a time and insert into new housing, now on the top of those wires you may have to bend that locking prong back up then just push them back into the correct slot on the plug. and reassemble, good as new, no cutting drilling or splicing.
