Front tire wear.

stlmikie

I wish I had more money.
I have the 03 Mastif. The front tire is a Metz. I have some uneven wear. It is cupping a bit on the right side of the tire as well. What could be causing this issue?

Possible balance issue.

I would guess you checked inflation, correct?

How long has is been like this? Was the original tire replaced for the same reasons?
How many miles are on the front wheel bearings, do they feel sloppy?

Usually cupping is caused by out of balance tire or poor damping usually shocks however your front end has springs and oil in the forks. I would have the tire balanced and service your front forks.

2 oz rear and 2 oz front. If you have a lot of weight on the rear wheel, you could do 3 oz to be safe, but 2 oz covers up to a 250 tire.

My buddies front forks where out of alignment on his HD. His tire was doing the same thing.

BDM, for the dyna beads how many would you need for a 300? For installation do you need to do anything other than pull the valve core, pour in, and remove the wheel weights already on the rim?
