The time has come to have a new front tire installed. Looking for a shop that can do the job the right way. Anyone out there have any suggestions? It has to be in the Cleveland/Akron area. Thanks.

Did mine myself last winter in the garage, really wasn't too bad, was the first time I ever swapped one myself.

Well I did some calling around and the local harley dealer said they can do it. I did find some ma and pa shops around the area I'll call and see. Would like to go to a place that can do the bearings also.

There is a shop down here in canton. Pretty good drive from you're place. He puts those sticky weights on unless you tell him not too. I prefer the Dyna beads my self.

Might try this. Wheels off for painting now.

Any tips/tricks? I don't want to use anything that would scratch new paint.
If they are freshly painted I'd think about having them done. Not that they will get messed up doing yourself but I would imagine the chances are slimmer if you have it done. The worst part was breaking the bead to get it off, I used the bench vise and some prying, I also bought the tire changing spoons and those plastic rim protectors for changing motorcycle tires. Getting them off was a pain in the ass, getting them back on was pretty simple. There's a post in the How-to section, pretty much what I followed.

I had it taken off already, so I just need to put it back on.

Im mostly trying to avoid trying to get 2 tires and rims back in trunk. Front looked pretty easy last time so I was thinking of trying.
