If they are freshly painted I'd think about having them done. Not that they will get messed up doing yourself but I would imagine the chances are slimmer if you have it done. The worst part was breaking the bead to get it off, I used the bench vise and some prying, I also bought the tire changing spoons and those plastic rim protectors for changing motorcycle tires. Getting them off was a pain in the ass, getting them back on was pretty simple. There's a post in the How-to section, pretty much what I followed.Might try this. Wheels off for painting now.
